We hold to the Biblical mandate of training up our children in the way they should go, and OCA does this through academic and spiritual instruction. We emphasize the two-fold nature of this goal as we feel that it sets us apart from the public school model offered to the students in our area. We strive to individualize the education we give our students to support them in identifying their giftings in order to walk out from our school, confident in their calling and equipped to impact their world through their service and meaningful work. This equipping is not only focused on their spiritual and emotional development, but is strongly linked with the academic rigor of our curriculum. We strive to keep our class sizes small which enables us to focus on the individual needs of each students.
Our Philosophy
The Otsego Christian Academy is committed to:
Helping parents understand the purpose and programs of the school and encouraging their involvement
Seeking parental input on important school issues
Being honest in all our financial dealings and commitments
Encouraging parents and students to attend a local Christ-centered church
We believe that knowledge benefits those who possess it only when they seek God in their lives. The Bible charges parents to educate their children both academically and spiritually (Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Ephesians 6:4). It is the school's expectation that each student will learn to strive for excellence in all things - consistent with serving and obeying the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 2:52; James 1:22).
