The Warrior Initiative

Over the past several months, our leadership team has been prayerfully engaged in a strategic planning process in partnership with Christian School Management. Through this work, we have developed a comprehensive 5-Year Strategic Plan to strengthen and grow Otsego Christian Academy from PreK through 12th grade.

We are excited to officially introduce the name of this plan: The Warrior Initiative.

This initiative reflects a renewed commitment to our mission and focuses on deepening Christ-centered learning, expanding student opportunities, supporting our faculty, and ensuring long-term sustainability for our school community.
As you will see highlighted in this newsletter, we have already begun implementing several key initiatives, including strengthening family partnerships, expanding service and extracurricular opportunities, enhancing the academic experience, investing in our teachers, and improving our learning environments.

We believe God is at work in and through Otsego Christian Academy, and we are excited for what lies ahead.

Strategic Priorities for 2026-2027

  • Mission Focused: Renewed focus on our mission to equip students to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ while pursuing academic excellence
  • Portrait of a Child: We will develop a clear description of the character, faith, and academic qualities we hope to cultivate in every student. This framework will guide how we nurture students spiritually, academically, and socially throughout their time at the school.
  • Student Growth: We will continue expanding formative experiences for students such as retreats and special events.
  • Family Relations: Our new Family Relations Director will focus on strengthening communication, supporting current families, and guiding new families through the enrollment process. Our goal is to ensure every family feels welcomed, supported, and connected to the life of the school.
  • Learning Environment: Select classrooms will be refurnished and updated to create more effective and welcoming learning spaces that support both teaching and student engagement.
  • Parent Leadership: The school will continue to support and empower our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) by providing resources and encouragement as they work to build community and support the mission of the school.
  • Professional Development: Strong schools are built on strong teachers. We are increasing access to professional development opportunities so our faculty can continue to grow in their craft, bringing innovative and effective teaching strategies into the classroom.
